This is a tasty accompaniment for most Balti dishes and especially with Pilau rice. Pour 500ml Natural Yoghurt into a bowl add a small amount of milk to thin. Finely chop 1 onion, and stir into the yoghurt ( chopped cucumber & tomatoes are also recommended ) add 1 level tsp of Chilli powder, Garam Masala, ground Coriander & Salt. Add a pinch of pepper . 1-2 teaspoons of mint can also be added if desired. The quantities of spices and salt may vary according to personal taste, salt is important as you will find that the yoghurt seems almost flavorless without the right amount. |
